Handmade Handbags

I thought I would do a little advertising for my bags that I've been making. I've stumbled across something I love doing, (and they are actually selling!) I've even had "bag sightings" around town. If feels pretty cool!. Anyways....I still am making the scripture totes, or medium size bags. I also make playtime purses for little girls and large totes for church bags or diaper bags. Most of my inventory is inside Terry's Timber Crafts and Boulder Hwy and Lake Mead. If you haven't been in there, you ought to stop by. It's kind of like a small Quilted Bear/Craft Mall. Here's a few pictures of what I have at home. Stop by the store or call me and I can always make special orders.

Another Successful PTA Event

The gals and I on the Sue Morrow PTA pulled off another successful event for the school. Instead of Dads & Doughnuts, we did Dad's Drive-In. The movie "Cars" played on the big screen, we had popcorn, candy, and drinks. We gave away prizes and had a photo booth. I believe we came in under budget, too. I'm guessing there was 350-400 people there. Good job and thanks to Stephanie, Serena, Melissa, and Merridee.

A New Baby!

No, not a real baby, a puppy! We finally decided to get a dog for the family. After a lot of research into breeds that would be compatible with my allergies and the need for a clean house, we settled on a sweet miniature poodle. He is 4 months old, and so far, has a real sweet disposition. After being named Yoda, Coco, Ralphie, Woofy, Puffball, and Snowball, we decided on Wilson. It's not your usual dog name, but it fits. I'm still getting used to the smell of having a dog in the house, so if you come over, let me know if my house stinks or not. Welcome Wilson!

Welcome Home Uncle Tyler

It was a flood of green at the airport on Friday, May 23rd. Elder Cecil came up behind us, and we welcomed him home from the Iowa Des Moines Mission. There were 16 nieces and nephews to greet him, some he'd never met before. Sydney still won't talk to him. I think everyone is pressuring her to be his friend, and she has no idea who he is. Hopefully she'll warm up.

Crazy Kids

Fake grass is the best. We had this put in a few months ago, and it is the best place for the kids to play. I took some pics of the kids (including Dad) rolling around on the grass, and they didn't even get itchy! Sydney was on the teeter-totter with "Sara", her imanginary friend. Weird!

Craft Show

I'm really excited about the craft show I am doing this weekend. I have been making lots of purses. I hope I do well. If you want to stop by, I'll be there from 9-5. It's at the corner of Lake Mead and Boulder Hwy, in the Albertson's parking lot. I just want to make enough money to buy a new sewing machine. See you there!
